About

Kate Jones grew up in Wales and began her teaching career there as a secondary history teacher. Over the years she has also taught a range of other subjects, including Welsh Second Language, Drama and Politics. These experiences sparked her interest in how pupils learn and how teachers can use simple, effective strategies to support memory, understanding and confidence in the classroom.

Alongside her work in schools, Kate became passionate about making educational research accessible and useful for teachers. She is now the author of several books on evidence-informed teaching and learning, helping educators translate ideas from cognitive science into practical classroom strategies.

Kate has worked with teachers and school leaders around the world through training, conferences and events. Her international experience has allowed her to collaborate with educators across a wide range of schools, cultures and education systems.

Kate’s passions in life are education, travel and writing, and she feels grateful that her work allows her to combine all three. She lives in Solihull in the UK with her husband and daughter.
